John 17: 15-17
“I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”
Glory be to the Lord God in Heaven. Thank you all again for visiting our blog site, I pray all is well in the body of Christ.
We at God of Joy Ministries have had an eventful week in prayer, we have posted many prayer points on our blog site, as well as the main website. Please join us in these prayers as it will strengthen the Body of Christ. I feel sometimes that we, the church forget our roles within the Kingdom of God. We tend to merge our church life with the world, confusing the two.
For the Lord says’ (We are not of this world) and that we are sanctified by the Word of God. How many of us are corrupting our minds with the things that will draw us away from the will of God. How often do we complain that the Lord isn’t speaking to us or our prayers haven’t been answered.
If we want to hear from the Lord, we must draw ourselves closer to him while for-filling his will in our lives. Don’t complain about your lives if what you are doing will contribute to what is going wrong in it. You’re wondering “what am I doing that is so wrong?” We need to check ourselves; What do we watch on television? Where do we socialise? Moreover are our conversations beneficial to the saving of souls or are they music to Satan’ ears….(Gossip, slandering, backbiting).
Lets sanctify ourselves with the Word of God, we must put on the whole armor of the Lord and resist the devil. Lets not be tempted by the lusts of this world for it is our lust for money, social standing, power and many more things that will be our falling away from the Body of Christ.
Romans 11: 22 “Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.”
I pray these words meet you in good stead, until next time.
God Bless,
Shane & Paula
